My 5 Passport Stamps Rule

July 14, 2016

“I want five stamps on my passport before we even start thinking about having kids.” This is first thing I said to my now husband after he proposed.  Well, not quite the first thing, but pretty close. This “rule” of mine sounds simple but it has a few stipulations:

1. Our honeymoon trip does not count towards the 5 stamp goal.
2. Traveling to Canada, although it requires a passport, does not count towards the 5 stamp goal. ( no offense to Canada)
3. Crossing borders while traveling between European countries during a single trip does not count towards the 5 stamp goal.

To some, this may seem silly. To me, it is a fun way to make sure I make memories all over the world. We have already gotten two stamps. As we continue to travel I will be documenting our memories with blog posts and pictures.

Stamp #1: Mexico, July 2015 (In hindsight, I should have included Mexico in stipulation #2 with Canada because we went to an all inclusive resort and I didn’t take enough pictures)Mexico-19

Stamp #2: Italy, May 2016 ( I will be doing a day-by-day blog post on our Italy trip soon)
Italy-2
Stamp #3: TBD
Stamp #4: TBD
Stamp #5: TBD

Kevin, thank you for accommodating my travel rule. There is nothing I would rather do than travel around the world with you.
